In the dark days of the Clone Wars the Jedi realized that their Delta starfighters were inadequate to handle the demands of starfighter. Thus a new starfighter was designed to handle the stress of prolonged engagement in space. This new starfighter, dubbed version 2.0, quickly became a symbol of the Galactic Republic as well the Jedi themselves. Each starfighter had a color which well represented its pilot. The one represented here is Anakin Skywalker's on or about the time the Clone Wars were ending and the one used in the daring rescue of Chancellor Palaptine.
