Scale: 1/48 (ish)

This is the Naboo N-1 starfighter. This is also my son Jared's very FIRST model kit (he is 10). It was a snap kit that we had laying around for many years in his closet. Star Wars Episode One was the very first Star Wars movie he ever saw, and then watched them in chronological order. It was his favorite until he got hooked on the "Clone Armies". I guess the rest of us were very cynical of the film, but to him, a 9 year old hero was VERY cool!

I don't know if you remember your first kit, but this one was his. The only work I did was to paint Anakin, and R-2. The model is mostly unpainted except for the panel lines which we did together with a sharpie. We then coated the whole model in Future Floor polish to make it super shiny like in the movie. When I told him about this contest I hadn't really thought of putting in an entry. He then came walking out with this 7 year old kit with dust all over it. So here it is. His favorite part was putting in the R-2 unit. His least favorite part was putting on the "water stickers". While he did most of the assembly, I found that most of the parts required about 100 psi pressure to get them to fit right!! I do NOT recommend this kit to very small children!
