by Ian Walsh

Scale: 1/144

The model depicts the Apollo 13 spacecraft after the blow out of the oxygen tank which disabled the service module, making it necessary to use the lunar module as a 'lifeboat', so bringing the crew safely back to Earth.

The model is made in 1/144 scale and is 5 inches long from the bottom of the landing pads to the edge of the service module engine 'bell'. The service module is ~1” inch in dia. It is scratch built from plastic sheet, wire, gold foil, and panels cut from an aluminum drinks can...and other assorted junk.
