Scale: 1/24

This is 1Lt. Inanna 'Wild Card' Lunaryn. She is Squadron Leader of the 'Fight'n Fae', part of Hunter Group. 'Wild Card' is a beautiful, cinimar bark*-chewing, flirtatious, daredevil of a human. She is also one of her Battlestar's finest pilots. Inanna was born on Virgon, in the capitol city, Aspar, a few minutes after her twin sister Ishtar.

She has a remarkable talent for flying Vipers. However, she has a tendency to pull maneuvers that are very dangerous to herself and her Viper (she has actually lost part of her wing during one encounter). Hence her call sign. That is also one of the reasons she has not reached a rank as high as her twin sister, who is a captain.

Inanna doesn't mind, however. She just wants to fly, and have fun.

She is also known to have dated Starbuck for a short time. However, she broke it off with him after six socials because she does not like to be tied too long to one person. At least not yet. She is a “free-spirit”. Him smoking fumarellos contributed a lot as well.

*cinimar is a spice. In it's natural form it's a rolled piece of sweet, fragrant bark.

This is my 1/24 scale TOS BSG pilot figure. I purchased it a couple of years ago. However, I do not recall who made it. (Jesse Meyers had it sculpted to accompany the studio-scale Viper kit -Ed.)

It is a very nice figure, yet there was some seam removal and filling that was required to get her to look right. The right boot didn't have enough resin in it, so it had a depression. Fortunately, because of that depression, I was able to place Aves inside it (as it still retained the boot shape) and took a small piece of steel rod and placed it horizontally along the length of the foot.

My reason for this was because I wanted to have my figure standing on the base without ruining the artwork on it. So I placed a neodymium magnet into a hole drilled into the base and, using a spray adhesive, placed the squadron graphic over it. Then I sprayed the entire base with Testors Gloss coat to protect it. I really love the art on this. I thank Robb 'Kylwell' Merrill for doing it for me. He understood what I was looking for beautifully.

As you can see, she stands in place nicely.

She is painted using Reaper Miniatures paints.

Her pants and shirt are done using Dwarf Flesh, with a wash using Flesh Ink. Then drybrushed using Dwarf Flesh and Highlighted using Caucasian. For the braid going across her shirt I used Dragon Black and Bright Gold. The jacket is done in Chestnut Brown. The shoulder pads are in Walnut. I gave it a wash of Flesh Ink, and drybrushed it using Chestnut and a Highlight of Dwarf Flesh.

The boots were done using Dragon Black, and then dry brushed using Breyonne Blue. The buckles on her boots and jacket are Reaper Brass, with a wash in Flesh followed by drybrushing with Brass again. The metal on the belt was done using Reaper Burnished Gold, and highlighted in Bright Gold.

The gun was painted Reaper Dragon Black, then drybrushed using Steel, and highlighted with Truesilver. The handle was painted with Chestnut and given a Flesh Wash Ink and dry brushed Chestnut again to give it depth. The red is done using Bright Red.

Her hair is Dragon Black and highlighted using Slate Gray. Her face is Reaper Caucasian, with a light wash using Flesh Wash Ink, then drybrushed with Caucasian. Her eyebrows are Dragon Black as well. Her eyes are painted in White Linen, with the iris done in Pale Green. The pupils are, again, Dragon Black. Her lips are done using Conch Pink.

When I finished, she was sprayed with Testors Dulcoat. Then the boots, buckles, and her eyes were coated using Reaper Gloss.

The patch was a decal custom made for me by Robb 'Kylwell' Merrill. Thanks Robb.
