I have enjoyed Sci-Fi's new Battlestar Galactica from the mini series. I couldn't wait to get a model of the Galactica. I bought the Alliance 1/9600 Galactica at WonderFest one year. The model is great right out of the box ... so that's how I built it. Assembly was a breeze just insert the landing pods into the main hull and it's done! The model also comes with a stand and Colonial emblem.

I have to admit that I misread the directions and painted the model the wrong color, well I painted the model backwards. I painted the main hull Euro 1 Gray and the panels Sea Gray. It should have been the other way around. I like the darker look. The model was detailed with red accents. I painted the flak cannons with Gunmetal. The engines were painted with Arctic Blue metallic. The model was given an oil wash and then flattened up. I enjoyed the project it was simple to build and the finished model looks nice.
