This is Battlestar Triton, last of the Scimitar class starships. Triton was one of few battlestars to survive the first Cylon War. Set to be decommisioned around the same time as the Galactica, sadly it was destroyed while docked in orbit around Scorpia.
About the Model
Originally this model started as a tanker in the Galactica universe, but as I worked on it, the design changed and eventually turned into that of a Battlestar. The model is mostly made of high resolution bond paper and corrugated materials similar to what appliance boxes are made of, only fresh off the shelf. The wings are 3 layer laminated E-Flute (about 1/16" thickness per ply) covered by graphic prepared in Photoshop using Galactica as reference. The superstructure of the command section is 1/8" B-Flute material, edges decorated with graphic to simulate windows. The model's dimensions are as follows: 21" long X 8½" wide X 3¼" high.
