Here we have the Fine Molds 1/72 Y-Wing getting ready for the battle on the second Death Star. The mechanics areRevell WW2 ground crew, and the pilots are Fine Molds. The R2 unit at the back has been scratch built (the white one with light blue decals on). The yellow ladder and panels are spares from the Fine Molds 1/72 X-Wing. The 'cranes' are built from peices from the 'spare parts box'. I think they mainly consist of landing gear from the AMT Imperial Shuttle kit.

I painted all the ground crew with humbrol enamels, while the cranes and Y-Wing was painted with Tamiya acrylics. The base is made from pine and has simply been sprayed black.
