For my first Star Trek model I thought I'd build the one that started it all. The Polar Lights kit was built mostly stock, with the addition of lights, including a flashing 555 chip for the navigation lights and the CultTVman Bussard Collector circuit, which looks great in action. I built the base from sheet styrene and the circuit is powered by a 9V battery.
