by Ian Walsh

Scale: 1/32

The model is of course the Apollo11 Lunar Module (LM 5). It is a scratch-build made from plastic sheet and rods, brass rods, wood, and gold and silver foil. It is made in 1/32 scale, so is about 6 inches high, and the centre's of the landing 'pads' would sit on the corners of a 6 inch square. The 1/32 figure (about to take 'one small step' is also a scratch build.

I made the model a few years ago to 'go with' the Revell 1/32 scale command and service modules kit.
