Comments | Even though this kit is hard to find, it is worth diging for. The fact that it is discontinued makes it extremly hard to find. I spent two years looking for one after I read about it on this site. Everywhere I looked wanted $150 for it. Let me tell you that it is worth every cent. I got mine from a guy in Tampa, that's only sixty miles from my house. The first problem I noticed that was the same as the original release, which I also have, is the enginering hull back by the shuttlebay doesn't like to stay together. I had to hold it in place for ten minutes before I could let it sit for the night. This kit took me three days to finish. I ran out of the base color, but the dark ghost grey worked well in making it look like it had been lost in the Delta Quadrent for 7 years. The little type 8 shuttle looks great sitting on the back end of Voyager. Overall, I would say that the time and expertise required for this kit is that of someone who has a lot of experience. I definatly don't recomend this for beginers. It's a level two kit that takes a level 3 modeler to build. The decals look a lot better on this kit than they do on the original release. |
