Comments | Man, I highly recommend this kit to any modeling masochist out there. Especially if you're gonna use ST: NEMESIS as a paint guide! I painted my model with a base-coat of Krylon Pewter Gray, painted in the various shades of gray using custom-mixed flat acrylics, and then I REALLY got to work: doing the aztecing and other detailing by hand with a set of high-dollar map pencils (silver, light gray, and off-white, mainly). It took forever to complete the detail painting, and the STMODELER after-market decals also demanded huge swaths of time and patience. But, now that it's completed, I'd stack my Enterprise-E up against Bandai's any day. Theirs may be lit, but mine's bigger, and I did all that painting, pencilling, and decalling myself.
I'm very pleased with my AMT/ERTL Enterprise-E. Spend the time and energy, and this can be a really fine kit. Easy to build, too. |
