very disappointed to hear that amt/ertl had an opportunity to re-tool this kit, and chose instead to try and "double-gouge" the public with a repeat offering of a very poorly done mold of this ship...

i don't expect it to be a totally accurate representation of the studio model, but it's sad to think that you have to spend a fortune in after-market parts just to bring it up to "basic" accuracy, and then spend hours trying to do the subject justice through additional detailing...

granted, i'm not sure what amt was facing financially before they re-released all the star trek and star wars kits this and last year... just wish they'd take a clue from someone like fine molds or polar lights and invest some time and energy into producing a higher quality kit...

very frustrating...
