Comments Even though this kit is hard to find, it is worth diging for. The fact that it is discontinued makes it extremly hard to find. I spent two years looking for one after I read about it on this site. Everywhere I looked wanted $150 for it. Let me tell you that it is worth every cent. I got mine from a guy in Tampa, that's only sixty miles from my house. The first problem I noticed that was the same as the original release, which I also have, is the enginering hull back by the shuttlebay doesn't like to stay together. I had to hold it in place for ten minutes before I could let it sit for the night. This kit took me three days to finish. I ran out of the base color, but the dark ghost grey worked well in making it look like it had been lost in the Delta Quadrent for 7 years. The little type 8 shuttle looks great sitting on the back end of Voyager. Overall, I would say that the time and expertise required for this kit is that of someone who has a lot of experience. I definatly don't recomend this for beginers. It's a level two kit that takes a level 3 modeler to build. The decals look a lot better on this kit than they do on the original release.

Comments Well I for one would like to say WOW!. I myself started with the original release of the Voyager kit. It was a good model at the time to me, but I thought it was lacking like a lot of you did. Imperfections, bad decals and such. I made it look pretty good with what it came with and I was happy with it. Then I heard about the re-release. I thought I should check it out. I lucked out and found one at my local hobby shop for $25. What made me get it was the decal sheet. I mean one look at that and I had to buy it. I got home and tore into it faster then I could put the car in the garage! It ended up taking about 2 weeks to paint and the decals took a lot of care and patience. But the end results were outstanding! If you can find one of these, get it!

Overall Rating       Average. Get it if on sale or you love the subject.
Comments This model is clearly to advanced for me, the decals are way too small and the different pieces of plastic doesnt fit right. If you live in a country that does not have English as a first language, make sure you translate the color names correctly.

Comments Like the rest of you I started out with the original release of the Voyager kit, and I too didn't like the way how that looked. And like Kelby said the $150.00 which how much mine caust, was well worth the money. Mine took me about a week and a half to build. But I'd like to try and get another one and acurize her a bit more, like putting the ribbed lines on Deck 2, and all the formation lights around it as well. And also like Kelby's my aft part of the ship where the shuttle bay was didn't want to stay together either....that was quite annoying. But I just glued it together and put rubber bands around it and it held nicely :). This model is defently worth getting. And like Steve said this particular model requires time and paitence if you want it to look good.

Overall Rating       Good kit, but with some problems.
Comments the kit is good. the seams match pretty well but ainting can be difficult for a beginner.

lighting can be easily installed and can be of a nightmare drilling all the windows. the painting is difficult right but but by using pastel or matt colours make the ship look great. and prices are reasonable. not quite five stars but damn close.

Comments I've had this kit for some time now, and bought it after I turned my orig. r/m voyager into a casualty of the year of hell. Big improvement on the details, yet I've always been bothered the flattened look of the nacelles, and other things like.. incorrect bridge shape, center of main deflector dish is flat on top instead of round, and the primary hull seems slightly pointy or elongated. I enjoy it alot, but have to say that my new lit Bandai Voyager's accuracy is breathtaking.
