Comments | I pretty much agree with Daniel's opinion of this kit. It needs a lot of work just to get a smooth surface. For the veins, I painted them on with a regular brush (more control) and used Elmer's glue. The whole thing was sprayed with Metallilc black and dry brushed with a mix of dark gray and silver. |

Comments | i have bought 3 shaddow capital ships, took my time, put them together really well. had them painted fully in a texture finish, before assembly of 3 main parts, then head each 1 painted in a fine metallic pearl- 1 red, 1 blue, 1 silver, then they were painted in clear 2pak, but in the clear i added black tinter. after several coats i achieved that deep transperent black, but when light hits each model, the base metallic pearl shows through [like each shaddow ship has its own personality] i am currently making a diorama that hangs on the wall, the shaddow ships are mounted to look like they are coming out of a hole in the wall.... but.... you guys had shown me the way, i am most happy with the information i have collected from your pages/sites. many thanks for your guidence, steve, australia. |
